Sea State Co runs small-group ocean courses. Spots are limited, so we've set out clear terms below. This policy applies to all course and workshop bookings made through this website.
If you cancel
- 14 days or more before the course: full refund, or transfer to a future course at no cost.
- 7–13 days before the course: 50% refund, or a full credit towards a future course within 12 months.
- Less than 7 days before the course, or no-shows: no refund. You're welcome to transfer your spot to a friend at no cost. Just let us know their name and contact details before the course.
If we cancel or reschedule
Ocean conditions come first. If we cancel or postpone a course due to unsafe weather or sea conditions, low numbers, instructor illness or any other reason, you can choose a full refund or a free transfer to the new date or another course.
On the day
Your safety is our priority. If your instructor decides it isn't safe for you to take part in the in-water component (for example, due to conditions, illness or not meeting the swimming requirement), you'll still complete the land-based components. Refunds aren't given in this case, but we'll do our best to offer a place in a future session.
Gear hire
Gear hire is arranged directly with Elementa Freediving and is subject to their own terms.
How to request a refund or transfer
Email jordanblackfish@gmail.com with your name, order number and the course you've booked. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a service we provide has a major failure, you're entitled to a remedy, which may include a refund.
